Crown Goes To Emma Watson In New Fantasy


Harry Potter star Emma Watson is returning to fantasy cinema after signing on to play the lead in "Game of Thrones-style" saga Queen of the Tearling, reports Variety.
Watson will play 19-year-old idealistic princess Kelsea Glynn, created by Erika Johansen after the author heard a 2007 speech by a pre-presidential Barack Obama. Johansen signed a seven-book deal in February and the first novel in the series is due next year. It is set three centuries after an environmental catastrophe, when a malevolent Red Queen reigns over the kingdom of the Tearling. Glynn must defeat the monarch to reclaim her deceased mother's crown, and publishers have compared the tone of the series with that of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire saga, which is being adapted by US network HBO asGame of Thrones.She can also be seen in "This is The End" released in the US today June 14 2013 and UK later this month June 28th 2013.


The Women in Film Awards Los Angeles 2013


The Women in Film Awards have celebrated turning 40 with a star studded bash in Los Angeles.
Actress Holly Hunter presented the female cast of Mad Men with the 'excellence in television' prize and Laura Linney was handed the Crystal award for 'excellence in film'.
Will and Grace star Debra Messing was also on hand to talk about what changes she would like to see in Hollywood.

Muppets Sequel 2014 Release


The follow-up to 2011′s The Muppets just got a little more specific. Previously titled Muppets…Again! the Disney movie’s new title is Muppets Most Wanted.(2014)
The new moniker is fitting for the movie’s storyline that has the Muppets entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine — the world’s No. 1 criminal, who has a striking resemblance to Kermit — and his sidekick Dominic, played by Ricky Gervais. Modern Family star Ty Burrell and Tina Fey also star in the film opening March 21, 2014.





Man Of Steel Opens In Cinemas

Man Of Steel,the eagerly anticipated "Reboot" of the superman franchise, has has a largely positive response, Opened in UK cinemas Today.




Overseas, Man of Steel is opening day-and-date in 24 markets, landing first in the Philippines and Taiwan on Wednesday, where it earned $1.7 million and $794,742, respectively. It was the largest opening day ever in the Philippines and the largest Warners opening in Taiwan.
Among other major markets, it opens in the U.K. and Mexico on 14th June 2013. The following weekend, thetentpole opens in 26 additional markets, including China, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain.

Brad Pitt In World War Z

World War Z is scheduled to open in UK cinemas on June 21.


World War Z stars Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a UN employee combing the globe for information to stop a zombie epidemic which is already destroying whole nations. The film is based on the acclaimed 2006 novel of the same name by Max Brooks.






Cinderella's Cast Is Growing For Disney Feature

Two  British actresses have been cast in Disney's upcoming live-action interpretation of Cinderella

Directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera are set to play the two mean stepsisters, Drisella and Anastasia, daughters of Lady Tremain (Cate Blanchett).

Holly (represented by Troika)  can currently be seen playing Lucrezia Borgia in Neil Jordan’s TV series The Borgias, and she recently starred as Estella in the feature film adaptation of Great Expectations.
